Bob Caffee
Bob Caffee has been involved in the trucking industry since 1981, first as a diesel mechanic, then a driver, and now as a owner operator. He has been driving since 2000 and became an owner operator in 2005. Bob and his wife Linda both received their class A CDLs in the eighties. They would fill in, as needed hauling water in the oil fields or grain during harvest in southwest Kansas. Once their youngest daughter left for college they decided it was time to see the United States and Bob entered the trucking industry as a driver. Bob & Linda bought their first Freightliner in 2005 and have since bought three more Freightliner straight trucks. Linda and husband Bob were honored by being selected by TravelCenters of America as recipients of their inaugural TA/Petro Citizen Driver Award in 2014. The award is given out annually to drivers for their contributions not only to the trucking industry and their community, but also for their safe driving, leadership and professionalism. They choose the Bob & Linda Caffee North Las Vegas Petro Stopping Center. When not driving Bob enjoys polishing the truck, working Sudoku puzzles, and wood working while at home.
